Outdoor Christmas Decorations
Decorating Your Yard for the Christmas Holiday
That time of year is sneaking up again. The temperature is dropping, it’s time to light up the fireplace, put on some holiday music from your favorite Christmas CD and start planning out Christmas decorating ideas.
Since people see the outside of your home first, it’s a good place to start with. If you have a lot of display’s and lights to put up, you don’t have to do it all at once. You want decorating to be fun, not tiring. If you have rooftop decorations, start with those. Then hang the lights up.
Next you can work on the bushes and trees in your yard. Net lights make decorating the bushes a breeze. LED lights are good in the trees since they are cool to the touch. When you’ve finished with these you can start setting up the yard display’s.
Lighted Gift Boxes would look great by the bottom of a tree. A Santa Sleigh and 2 Reindeer, a pre-lit color changing Snowman Family, a 40″ lighted sparkling gold train with gifts or an outdoor Nativity Scene could go on the lawn. There are also LED light cone Christmas trees for the yard.
For the walkway there are several options, such as, solar Christmas trees, Christmas Snowman solar lights, Lollipop lights, Luminary lights and twinkling Candy Cane lights.
Most lighted window silhouette decorations are for indoor/outdoor use. Some options you can choose from are a candle, candy cane, an angel, a waving Santa Claus, wreath with a red bow, star of Bethlehem, snowman, and much more.
For your front door there are many beautiful wreaths to pick from. Some come with lights that plug in, use batteries or are solar powered.
While some are for indoor/outdoor use, others are for indoor use only. On the front porch above the door you can hang a lighted Moravian star or a star sphere.
Whether you live where it snows or in the desert, you can turn your yard into a magical winter wonderland for your family and all the passerby’s to enjoy.
